This course offers participants the opportunity to attain the required competencies from a comprehensive range of core, stream and elective units that will prepare them through skill acquisition, underpinning knowledge and practical experience. Students will be able to distinguish the many pathways to a successful career in sport and recreation. On successful completion of Certificate II in Sport and Recreation graduates can gain employment in areas within sport and recreation organisations such as: PCYC, local sporting facilities/clubs, or and go on to further study to complete a Certificate III or IV in Sport and Recreation.

Students from India should have completed Higher Secondary School Standard XII. Bangladesh students must have completed Senior School Certificate with an average of 50 percent. Chinese students must have Year 12 pass grades. Malaysian students should have completed SPM pass grades in five major subjects/MICSS UEC pass. Students from Singapore should have completed GCE ‘O’ level pass grades in four academic subjects and Japanese students must have completed Year 12 Kotogakko pass or Year 11 superior grades. They should also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL (paper): 500, TOEFL (computer): 175, TOEIC: 600, Cambridge: FCE “C”, O-levels English: D7, A-levels English: D8, HKCEE Syllabus: D, HKALE: D and SPM: D7.
